Provincetown Harbor

The entrance to Provincetown Harbor is wide open and very easy to negotiate in bad weather. The only buoy is a green off Long Point and the Pilgrim Monument can be seen and used as a landmark from 15 to 20 miles out. Provincetown is a perfect stop over for anybody who is continuing to Gloucester on Cape Ann or up the Maine coast because the trip across Massachusetts Bay, through the Stellwagen Marine Sanctuary usually provides a few whale sightings.
